May be 'most' of the women want to look good in the eyes of men, thus men might be better in assisting while shopping. Other than that I don't see a big reason for that. :)

I think the reason men are selling women's dresses, is simply years of sexism. But also maybe cos if women sold it, there wouldn't be any nice one's left to sell cos they would take it for themselves, considering one size fits all.
